Bread Machine Pumpernickel Bread

It’s warm, it’s delicious and butter melts on it. Straight from the bread machine to your table. Easy to fix with hardly any effort. Homemade bread is the best, and is easy to make with the bread machine. Below is my modified recipe that works well for my bread machine. What I usually do with any new recipe is try it as is first, and then modify for my taste or texture. Half of our loaf was eaten in two days.

1 1/2 cups water

2 cups white flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup rye flour

4 tbsp cornmeal

3 tbsp molasses

2tsp salt

2 tbsp grapeseed oil

2 tsp unsweetened cocoa

3 Tbsp vital wheat gluten

2 tsp active dry yeast


Instructions: Place all ingredient into the machine in the order it is listed. Set your machine on ”Regular Wheat/Quick Wheat“ settling. Let the Machine do the rest.
